2. Overview of processing

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide our website and digital products, and only where a legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Squarespace, Inc. When you visit our site, Squarespace's servers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and time of access. This data is used to ensure the technical operation and security of the site. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

4. Checkout and payment

When you make a purchase, your name, email address, billing information, and payment details are processed by Squarespace Payments, which uses Stripe as its underlying payment processor, in order to fulfill the contract. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract fulfillment).

5. Digital product delivery

Upon purchase, your email address is used to deliver your digital download and to send you an order confirmation, including confirmation of your consent to immediate access under our right of withdrawal terms.

6. Right of withdrawal requests

If you submit a withdrawal request through our website, the information you provide (name, email, order number, reason) is processed to review and respond to your request. This data is sent via a form to our email inbox, and an automatic confirmation email is generated using Zapier, Inc., a US-based service provider, which processes your email address and order details solely to send this confirmation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR (contract fulfillment and legal obligation). Zapier is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and additionally relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as a safeguard for this transfer of data to the United States, in accordance with Chapter V GDPR.

7. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use Squarespace's built-in email tools to manage your subscription. Sign-up uses a double opt-in process, meaning you will receive a confirmation email and must actively confirm your subscription before you begin receiving newsletter content. Your email address is processed for this purpose only, based on your consent. You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter email. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

8. Cookies and tracking

We currently do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies (such as the Pinterest tag) on this website. This website uses only cookies that are technically necessary for its operation, such as those required by our hosting provider, Squarespace. If we add any tracking or marketing tools in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly, and where required, your prior consent will be obtained through a cookie banner before any such tool is activated.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and data portability, under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Germany typically the data protection authority of the federal state where our business is registered.

10. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable legal retention obligations, such as German tax and commercial record-keeping requirements.
